About

Based out of Andover and covering the entire North Shore, Sue Terzakis has over 22 years experience as an advocate specializing in a wide variety of issues that impact learning, including Language Based Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Mental Health and Behavioral Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Developmental Delays, Trauma, Gender Identity, PTSD and other health impairments. She provides advisement services to parents and/or guardians of children who require Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs). Whether the child is at the initial stages of a special education referral, due for an upcoming re-evaluation, annual review or in need for an out of district placement, she helps guide families through the confusing requirements of special education.

Services Offered:

  • Assist, advise and represent parents throughout the IEP process
  • Analyze evaluations and school records to determine options under Special Education and related laws
  • Ensure that that Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are written to address specific needs, along with measurable goals
  • Inform parents of their legal rights and suggest appropriate services and programs to meet their child's need
  • Assess the strength of your case and make recommendations on how to proceed if you believe that you are ready to take your case to due process for an out of district placement.
  • Support families in mediation when districts and parents cannot agree on the best programming for a student
  • Direct parents to appropriate resources and professionals for additional services or evaluations
