About
Amanda Bruce, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Counseling Services of Greater Boston in Georgetown. She works with a broad range of age groups and diagnoses and specializes in working with individuals in recovery from eating disorders and addiction. She also enjoys working with children over 12 and adolescents struggling with self-esteem.
Amanda uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Bibliotherapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment Theory. She believes that therapy should be collaborative and that the client ultimately understands what serves them best.
Insurance: All our counselors are in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum (UnitedHealthcare, United Behavioral Health, Mass General Brigham Health Plan/AllWays), Evernorth (formerly Cigna), and Point 32 Health (Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts commercial plans). For certain other plans, we are able to accept out of network benefits.
