About
Daniel Perlman has more than fifteen years of experience helping families who have children with special needs. He previously served as the case law attorney for Massachusetts Advocates for Children (MAC), one of the first educational advocacy organizations for children in the nation. Since then, he has represented hundreds (and hundreds) of families from across the Commonwealth.
Each year since 2015, Attorney Perlman has been selected for inclusion in the Massachusetts Super Lawyers directory, which recognizes the top 5% of attorneys in the state for excellence in their practice. He created and manages Special Education Law (specialedlaw.com), a free resource for parents, advocates, educators, and attorneys that has been accessed over half a million times. He also serves as pro bono legal counsel to the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Association.
Attorney Perlman represents and advises families on all aspects of special education disputes including unilateral and out-of-district placements, litigation at the Bureau of Special Education Appeals, and settlement negotiation.
He is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and the University of Massachusetts, where he graduated magna cum laude.
