About

David Carrigan, LSW, MSW, is a licensed clinical therapist who has worked in many areas within the mental health field. He has worked as a Clinical Case Manager providing consultation and intensive community-based work, as a counselor in a college Office of Alcohol and Drug Addiction, as a Senior Recovery Specialist at an inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation facility, and as a supervisor for a residential program for adolescents with behavioral issues.

David specializes in working one-on-one with individuals to set and achieve treatment goals and employs a motivational client-centered approach. He specializes in working with autistic people, people with ADHD, and people dealing with depression, anxiety, substance use, and life transitions, He is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. He is a trained Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) Recovery Facilitator, runs a weekly SMART Recovery group, and volunteers as a youth mentor.
