Deborah Carter, M.Ed., LICSW, has over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She treats a wide range of problems. She has specialties in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, behavioral addictions, bereavement, and chronic and terminal illness, with a specialty in working with cancer patients and their families.
Deborah approaches her clients with a respect for individual needs and learning styles, using “talk therapy,” cognitive behavior therapy, and mindfulness practices with an emphasis on self-awareness, self-care, and self-advocacy. She has a background in music and art and appreciates the importance of self-expression, creativity and finding joy in everyday life.
