About

Dr. Rachel Leary is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental testing.  She has a private practice in Concord, Massachusetts where she evaluates children for a variety of developmental and psychiatric disorders, such as ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and depression/anxiety.  In this practice, she also specializes in working with high achieving students to help families understand their child’s learning profile in order to consider best educational settings.

Dr. Leary also works in the Advocating Success for Kids (ASK) program at Boston Children’s Hospital.  In this capacity, she completes neurodevelopmental testing to help identify underlying developmental disorders and support children in finding academic, social and emotional stability /success.  She completed her postdoctoral training in the Developmental Medicine Center at Boston Children’s Hospital completing similar comprehensive assessments.

Dr. Leary believes that assessment can offer a variety of benefits to children and families.  Understanding a child’s learning profile can help families identify learning goals, create plans to help support areas of relative strength/weakness and develop strategies to maximize a student’s potential.  People learn in all different ways and identifying these profiles early on can help families effectively tailor an education plan to their child’s unique learning needs.
