Dr. Tünde Turi-Marcović
About
Dr. Tünde Turi-Marcović, PhD, is a psychologist who has worked as a mental health counselor in a variety of settings, incorporating multiple therapeutic modalities. She is also a psychology professor. She utilizes many theoretical approaches, including person-centered, psychodynamic, relational, feminist, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapies. She uses whatever theory is best suited for each client, based on their needs and presenting concerns.
Dr. Turi-Marcović has worked with many age groups and diagnostic areas but has focused much of her clinical area on helping adolescents and adults navigate their daily lives, helping with stress related to developmental changes, chronic health conditions, anxiety, depression, and emotional and social issues. Her main interests in research and academia include examining interpersonal relationships, anxiety, the impact of social media on mental health, social difficulties, and depression. She works at the Wakefield and Georgetown locations.
Insurance: All our counselors are in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum (UnitedHealthcare, United Behavioral Health, Mass General Brigham Health Plan/AllWays), Evernorth (formerly Cigna), and Point 32 Health (Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts commercial plans). For certain other plans, we are able to accept out of network benefits.
