Ellen Austin, MS, CCC-SLP, is the Director of Speech and Language Services and a Speech Language Pathologist in the Pembroke Clinic. She has worked with the pediatric population in a variety of settings, including educational collaboratives, public schools, and private practice. She has evaluated and treated a wide variety of communication disorders, including autism, apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, selective mutism, social communication disorders, and other language-based disorders. She has worked with both analytic and gestalt language processors.
Ellen completed the Meaningful Speech Course on Gestalt Language Processing and is a member of the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) Trained Clinician Registry. Additionally, she has specialized training in Level 1 and Level 2 Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (c) Therapy. She takes care to assure that her skills remain current with the latest research and with neurodiversity-affirming speech and language techniques and curriculums. She has a special interest in treating people with speech sound disorders and social pragmatic disorders.
Insurance: South Shore Speech Therapies is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, and AllWays Health Partners networks. They are an “Out of Network” provider for other insurance plans that have Out of Network benefits.
