John Desmond, MS, CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Norwood clinic. Prior to working in the clinical setting, John had extensive experience as a school-based, Speech-Language Pathologist. In addition to providing students with individual and group speech therapy in the public schools, John also participated as a member of the Special Education Team charged with evaluating students who are struggling with their emerging academic and social skills. As a Team Member, John, along with other professionals, would formulate an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to ensure his charges would receive the therapy, classroom placement, and accommodations to maximize the child’s potential. In 2016, John was the recipient of the Norfolk County Teachers Association Award for commitment, dedication, and excellence in teaching.

Insurance: South Shore Speech Therapies is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, and AllWays Health Partners networks. They are an “Out of Network” provider for other insurance plans that have Out of Network benefits.
