Lisa Butler

Speech-Language Pathologist, Back Bay Speech Therapy

About

Lisa Butler, MS CCC-SLP, QOM, is the owner and director of Back Bay Speech Therapy. She is licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She works with infants, children, and adults with speech, language, swallowing and literacy disorders. She has practiced pediatrics in multiple settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, and home care, working with a variety of congenital and acquired disorders.


Lisa holds advanced training in Prompts for Restructuring Oral and Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Michelle Garcia Winnner’s Social ThinkingTM program, Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® (LipS), and Talks Tools. Lisa is also a Qualified Orofacial Myologist and is on track to earn her COM (Certified Orofacial Myologist). She specializes in articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders in ages 0-5, pediatric feeding and swallowing, and myofunctional disorders across the lifespan. Lisa received an Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA in 2022 and 2023.


Insurance: Back Bay Speech & Occupational Therapy is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, HarvardPilgrim HealthCare, Harvard Pilgrim – United Healthcare Alliance, Mass Genral Brigham, and Cigna. They are out-of-network with the following but can provide documentation for reimbursement: Aetna, Tufts Health Plan, Tri-Care East, and United Health Care.
