About

I am a Developmental Psychologist in private practice in downtown Montclair, NJ. My practice includes children and their families — infants, toddlers, school-age children and adolescents — as well as individual adults. I have been working in this field for about four decades, in a variety of settings, and have been in my current office since 1996.

I provide psychotherapy, developmental assessment, clinical observation, play therapy, and coaching for parents. I have been teaching graduate students in the Early Childhood, Elementary, and Literacy Education department at Montclair State University, and at the Infant-Parent Study Center of the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services in Manhattan. I have consulted and supervised at several area nursery/childcare centers, including the Ben Samuels Children’s Center at Montclair State, and Playhouse in West Orange.

My specific interests include working with families with children with special needs, all aspects of the parent-child relationship, and kids’ emotional lives in school. Special areas of clinical expertise are: autism spectrum disorders, children and families going through separation and divorce; adoption; first experiences of parenthood; and children suffering from anxiety and sensory processing disorders.
