As an advocacy consultant and attorney, I will prepare and empower you to become an active participant in the special education process, and an effective advocate for your child. I will teach you about the applicable laws and help you to understand your child’s evaluations, reports, and IEP or 504 Plan. I will advise you on your legal rights, and work with you to develop a strategy for advocacy, providing language and tools to effectively communicate with your team. I will also help you to identify resources to support your advocacy and determine whether you need to seek out further support.
