Tom Besade

About

Tom Besade, MM, MS, CCC-SLP, has extensive experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient therapy settings. His caseload has spanned across multiple populations. He is experienced with frequent administration of Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS), Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and videostroboscopy for evaluation of voice and upper airway disorders. He holds additional certifications in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), the McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP), Buteyko Breathing, and trauma-informed care.

Tom holds special clinical interests in tracheostomy/ventilator dependent patients, psychogenic voice and swallowing disorders, head and neck trauma, gender-affirming voice care, and integrative health. He is licensed to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
